December Sr. High Calendar

College kids who are in town are welcome to attend any December events!


December 1st: "Hanging of the Greens"- replaces Wednesday night programs.

5th: Youth Group: 5-7:30

12th: Montreat Work Crew deposit due today!
Youth Group, 5-7:30, unless the PW Potluck is this evening-- I have not heard yet! ***Update: I just heard that the Potluck IS this evening, at 6 pm. Senior Highs will meet for Bible study at 5 pm but will NOT bring sack dinners!

17th: Senior High Awards night! 7:30- 10 am Saturday morning. Bring some snacks to share!

19th: Church wide caroling trip- Senior Highs will spread some Christmas cheer and then return to the church for snacks!

23rd: Empty Stocking Fund: meet at Erin Pres at 5:45 AM. Yes, AM!! :) We're done at noon.
*Becca and Russell's Christmas Eve Eve party is tonight! C'mon by!*

No youth group December 26! We'll start back January 9, 2011! :)

August 22nd: Youth kick off at the Cove. 5-7:30 Bring your swim suit, a side dish/dessert, and a friend! Fried chicken and drinks will be provided.

August 29: Youth Group @ Erin, 5-7:30. Bring a friend! (or 2! or 3!) :) :) :)


Senior Highs: I'm working on getting us a date for FISH pantry, so keep the morning of August 28th open!

Erin Youth returns!

Erin Youth programs will start back on August 22nd! We will have a picnic at the Cove, like last year. Bring a dish to share, we'll have some fried chicken! Also, bring a friend! :) :) :) 5-7:30

Summer Break

Erin Youth are on Summer Break! We will start up in the fall with a picnic at Concord Park on August 22nd. Bring a dish to share- we'll provide sandwiches and drinks.

* I’d like to have a Graduation Party for all our Seniors. It can either be May 23rd, May 30th, or we’ll need to wait til June 18th at the earliest, as I will be knee deep in wedding stuff until then. I’d love to have a barbeque at someone’s house—if I have a house, I’ll volunteer mine! ☺ Anyone else want to volunteer as a back up? Call me!

*I’d also like to have a Senior High retreat this summer, hopefully at a cabin in the mountains, to give the kids some time to just be together before our Seniors leave. Possible dates are the weekend of June 25-26, July 2-3, or after Montreat, July 23-24. OR, we can do a couple weekdays, which opens up a lot of possibilities. Let me know what works for you!

Dear Sr. High Parents,
Silent Auction: May 14, 15, and 16:
This is our ONLY Montreat fundraiser and everyone is expected and needed there!

Friday, May 14: Set up, lock in afterwards. Please bring $5 for dinner/breakfast, and one baked good for the bake sale. You do NOT need to bring canned drinks this year.

Saturday, May 15: Car wash will be open until 2 pm, unless weather is bad. Silent Auction will be open, but all youth will be washing cars. I will need one or two parent volunteers to sit with the Auction/Bake Sale from 10 am til 2 pm

Sunday, May 16: The auction will close at 12:30 pm. I will need all youth and parent volunteers until about 2:30 to add up bids, call winners, bag merchandise, and clean up.
We will not have youth group this evening.

Thank you in advance for helping me with this event. It can become very stressful and overwhelming without your support. Last year’s auction went smoother than any other because of all the help from you, the parents! You are wonderful and I truly appreciate everything you do!

March came in like a lion....

March calendar!

March 20: Church wide clean up! I'll be at church from 9:30ish til noonish, focusing on my office, the sr. high/jr high rooms, and the resource room. Anyone who wants to help: free breakfast in it for ya!

March 21: Sr. highs, 5-7:30

March 27: (Saturday) FISH pantry, 9:30 til 1 pm. Meet at church at 9:00 to carpool

March 28: (Palm Sunday) Sr. Highs, 5-7:30

March 31: (Wednesday) Serve dinner at KARM. Meet at ERin at 3:45, or at KARM at 4:15! We'll be done around 6:30, and then dinner's on me!

April 1: Maundy Thursday service at Erin- this is a GREAT service! Very different from any other. Make it a point of your holy week to be there! Also,I think one of our own may be singing a duet that evening.... :)

April 2: Good Friday-- there are many services around Knoxville if you'd like to go to one. Let me know, I'll go with you! Today, make some time to reflect on the great sacrifice that was made for you.

April 4: EASTER!!! :) My favorite! Sunrise service is at Tate's School of Discovery, at sunrise. Brandon Breakfast (re: free food!) is around 9:30 in the brand new fellowship hall. Easter Worship is at 11 am. Annual "Wear your pretty easter dress/tie" picture immediately after, on the steps of the sanctuary!

No youth programs that evening....go hunt some eggs!
