Becca's last Sunday

Hello all-

As you've probably heard by now, my last Sunday at Erin will be August 28th. I am leaving to take a job at Powell Presbyterian as their choir director and accompanist. I will write more on all this later and will also talk to the kids about it this Sunday in more detail. I hope you will all be there Sunday so I can say so long for now!

Fall Kick off!

Erin Youth programs will kick off on August 21st at Pump it Up on Deane Hill Drive! We will meet there at 4:45, "bounce" from 5-6:30, and then have some snacks from 6:30-7 pm. Youth will also receive a calendar for the year.

Kids: bring SOCKS, a signed waiver (available online or at church, via Becca) and a FRIEND!!


After that, youth programs will begin meeting on Sunday evenings from 5-7 pm.

5-5:30: Dinner, in the parlor or narthex (bring your own)
5:30-6:00: Worship and singing in the Sanctuary
6-7 pm: Bible study in individual groups

BOTH groups will now be done at 7 pm.

We are still searching for a Junior High Bible Study leader. If you know of anyone, please contact Becca, Kelli Crisp, or Karen Stump!!

July Events!

We've got a few events coming up that I wanted to remind everyone about! First, Senior Highs are leaving for Montreat this Sunday and Jr. Highs are leaving for Middle school Montreat on the 20th! Woohoo montreat!! :) Make sure you pack your BIBLE!

And second, we have a service opportunity on July 23rd (Saturday) at FISH pantry. We will hand out food to needy people in our community from 9:30 til 11:30. Let's meet at Erin at 9:00--- I can drive 4 people in my car. If we have more than 4, we'll need a parent to drive too. We'll be done at 11:30-- your parents can pick you up from the pantry (it's on West Scott Avenue in north knoxville) or I'll drive (4 people) back to Erin :) Make sure you let me know if you're coming so I can get ya a seatbelt!!

Montreat is soon! :)

High Schoolers: Montreat is right around the corner: July 10-16! You need to have your health form filled out and to Becca BEFORE the day we leave. Also, when packing, remember that we have to fit it all in my Honda CR-V, so....less is more :) Don't make me leave your unmentionables on the side of the road!

Changes of schedule

We will be celebrating the end of the year with a party at the McKay's house! Hot dogs and smores will be provided. Please bring drinks/side dishes/ desserts to share. Oh, and a friend! :)

6-8 pm, Sunday, May 22nd. (Note: this is a change from previous calendars)

Anna has also generously offered to transport the Dayspring girls from church to her house. Thank you to the McKays for all their help!!

May 1st: Auction closes at 1 pm, Sr. Highs will stay at church to call bidders.
